Installing Yet Another Forum.net as a RainbowPortal module

1. Download the forum

Download the latest version of the Rainbow module.

After downloading, unzip to the Rainbow folder. If you don't have local access to this folder, unzip to a temporary directory and transfer the files to your web server. Make sure you keep the directory structure.


2. Modify web.config

You need to modify Rainbows's web.config file. In the downloaded zip file you should find a file called Web.config.rainbow that should manually merge with Rainbow's Web.config. You should also enable session state in Rainbow's Web.config file, since Yet AnotherForum.net depends on it.

3. Add new module definition

Go to Admin all and click the icon to add a new module definition. From the next form click Install Manually.

You should now have a screen similar to the picture. Fill in with the values you see in the picture, and click Apply Changes.

Now you should be able to add Yet Another Forum.net to the portal.
